Variety – the Children’s Charity, has helped children with special needs across British Columbia since 1966 to thrive. We accomplish this by providing direct help to children and their families. Variety provides funding for specialized therapies (e.g. speech & language, occupational, physical, counseling), mobility equipment, medical equipment and educational bursaries. The BC Epilepsy Society is a provincially incorporated non-profit organization and a federally registered charitable organization dedicated to providing client support, education, information, resources, and community support to the over 50,000 people living with epilepsy on British Columbia and their families, friends and loved ones. We provide non-clinical support services, free epilepsy and seizure workshops at schools, workplaces, and other organizations across BC, our Epilepsy Expert Webinar Series, our Voice Epilepsy™ podcast series, as well as a newsletter and resource library. Through resource development, we are able to provide support groups, a camp subsidy program for children and youth and a bursary program for people  living with epilepsy attending post-secondary education. There are no barriers to accessing our programs and services as they are free of charge and available in our offices, within community spaces throughout BC, and by phone, email and online via Zoom.

Open meetings are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous’ program of recovery from alcoholism. Nonalcoholics may attend open meetings as observers.
