The BC Epilepsy Society is a provincially incorporated non-profit organization and a federally registered charitable organization dedicated to providing client support, education, information, resources, and community support to the over 50,000 people living with epilepsy on British Columbia and their families, friends and loved ones. We provide non-clinical support services, free epilepsy and seizure workshops at schools, workplaces, and other organizations across BC, our Epilepsy Expert Webinar Series, our Voice Epilepsy™ podcast series, as well as a newsletter and resource library. Through resource development, we are able to provide support groups, a camp subsidy program for children and youth and a bursary program for people living with epilepsy attending post-secondary education. There are no barriers to accessing our programs and services as they are free of charge and available in our offices, within community spaces throughout BC, and by phone, email and online via Zoom.

Tofino Forever hosts 2 online meetings per day; noon and 7:30pm PST. Tuesday evenings are Big Book study Meetings. The first Wednesday of each month, is a Speaker Meeting. Saturday evenings are Step & Tradition Meetings with the first Saturday of the month being a Tradition Meeting.
Open meetings are available to anyone interested in Alcoholics Anonymous’ program of recovery from alcoholism. Nonalcoholics may attend open meetings as observers.

The Substance Use Outreach Program offers 1 on 1 support for individuals, and friends or family members of anyone who may be struggling with substance use issues. An outreach worker is able to help with: emotional support, drug testing, harm reduction, and assistance accessing services and programs

The Youth and Family Substance Use Counsellor works with youth aged 13-19 and their families or caregivers who are affected by substance use.
This includes working with clients at any stage of change and use by providing individual and family counselling, education, and transition planning.
